It might be an unpained idea to get America smart and critical again … if it ever was..
Since we have a good salt of the earth citizenry not quite versed in the mechanics of government, democracy, checks and balances, the need for a free and respected press, the desire by the usual suspects and more to game the system, invalidate the system, use the system against itself …..
Since we have the rancid bum’s rush of charmers sending out the rancid bum’s rush of messaging, big lies, small lies, disinformation, disenfranchisement, the usual and unusual host of all other and sundry ways to make our civic life an eternal cesspool ……
Then …why don’t you and yours … all solid and worthy folk with access to donors, crowd source, hand outs , etc and etc, get all of the committed and worried adherents of practical, rational government … the solidly civic minded hero class …. get these wonders to flood the airwaves, social media,tom toms etc with basic civics lessons educating the rock solid folks back home about gerrymandering, the needs for a respected press, the ways abuses of power work, the way civic life and institutions are vulnerable to challenge and attack, the ways of public opinion and propaganda, the never ending battles for positions of power rather than positions of issue …..
