They are allowed to be idiots because the joy and power of the mob is a needful thing, a wonderful thing and the harnessing of the power of the mob is the harnessing of the powers of the sashaying ignorant, the frolicking fearful, the intimate bullies, the aggressive martyrs, the lining up of the devils to be lynched on the spot.
They are allowed to be idiots because cool, temperate behavior, discipline …. favors the fairy tales of the weak dreamers who believe in such.
They are allowed to be idiots because the world is made for the knowing slobberers who stand tall, speak lamely and wield a pick axe handle and a set of brass knuckles. There is envy for their elan.
